I think it's great to see him stick up for the team's best player.

I guess you guys yearn for the good old days when we had an owner who accused Hakeem of faking an injury and almost traded him for Rony Seikaly. Had Clutchfans existed in 1991, I'm sure we would have heard from the usual assortment of posters calling him "NOlajuwon" or "HakeeMalingerer", convinced that he would never lead us anywhere.

For one, I'm happy to see the owner, star player, and GM all together, happy, and excited for the future.

Harden will play defense this year because we got guys to help him? What about when those guys only play 50 games? James going to be allowed to mail it in on the defensive side of the ball again? Les and Harden understand each other and agree that it's best Harden doesn't even try on D because there have never been any players in the history of the league that were offensive legends AND not even defensive legends, but at least serviceable on D. It's just impossible so it's better not to even try..

That's pretty much what our owner said. And by saying that, he threw the rest of the team under the bus.

Oh boy. Even Harden was kind of embarrassed by that injunction.

Bro you barely post here lol go back to your cave. Les should have kept his mouth closed and let harden answer the question. Defense has been is downfall for the last 3 years and people want better. We are rocket fans but wont settle for "Les"

Harden doesn't view himself as a bad defender and even though Leslie is somewhat right, Harden DID have to do EVERYTHING on offense for us to even have a chance at winning, throwing the rest of the team under the bus combined with Harden saying relieving offense pressure will lead to better effort is worrisome.

Best part: "He'll play really good defense this year because he's got guys who can help him." Translation: No more excuses!

Are you actually upset that a top 10 player (arguably top 5) wanted a contract extension with more money as the cap goes up and he's getting paid only 16 million right now? His extension isn't even enough to top Conleys contract. And if he opted out next year and resigned, we'd end up paying him more. He helped us.

gotta say I'm thrilled with the contract extension, this sets us up great for next July's FA season. Also glad to see James make a promise that folks can hold him to. New sig material: "So, you'll see."

    Optimistic about the coming season.

It's an interesting theory. Give him so little defensive support that he has to become an elite defender. Now, Jordan won his first DPOY after Pippen was drafted. U could say Pippen added both offensive relief, and defensive relief for Michael.

It is interesting that very few DPOY were also elite scorers. Many of them good, but not great. Jordan only did it once. Ironically, Howard is one of them. David Robinson and Garnett another.

People making excuses for Harden are the reason we're in this predicament now.
You don't see people doing that for any other franchise player.

I just want to see the video of them all before the conference, pow wow, maybe a couple Starbucks in hand, laughing and joking about how glad they are that Dwight is gone.

Remember when he said he wanted the ball more hahaha

    Haha exactly.

This year he has offensive support but no defensive support.

    Also Hakeem
