landry vs the other PF's

    Actually, Haslem was a pretty poor rebounder in college. He averaged 5 ppg as a freshman starter and as a sophomore, 7 as a junior, and 8 as a senior. That is not altogether different from Landry, save that Haslem had some better rebounding bodies around him and took a lower percentage of his teams shots.

    Not being the focal point of the offense will do wonders for Landry's rebounding numbers. I understood the argument that Battier would never be an effective enough rebounder at the four last year, but Landry is different. If he gets the opportunity to play facing the basket inside of 15-feet and with his man constantly helping late to double Yao, all the guy needs to do is prove he can get to the rim quickly and hold onto the ball. He may not be as natural a rebounder as Hayes, but he isn't that bad.

    he may turn out to be OK but it shocked the hell out of me on draft night....1/2 inch or 1 inch isn't going to make that big of a difference....I wish he was playing in the summer league but I guess they aren't gonig to sign him in time....
