Honestly I don't. I mean yes, some consequences but not in time to actually do anything about it and not long lasting enough to matter.

I hope he nominates Pirro just so we can get this over with.

Not in time to do anything about it...? That's the whole point of saying it was "overturned".

Not long lasting enough to matter? I mean, I guess if you're talking exclusively about SC nominations, sure.

But that ain't the only arm of the gubbermint.

    This isn't good for anyone.

The next time Democrats get power it'll be the socialist wing. You are already seeing the movement growing. The more you strong arm your side the more extreme you make the other side.

The governing party in American politics is supposed to reach out, make deals with the other side, and not basically go "F*** 50% of our population."

I'm honestly going to be disappointed if he nominates someone who isn't affiliated with the Apprentice.

This is the best thing that could have ever happened to Republicans with regards to the mid term. Republicans have always been more energized by supreme court picks.

Which nominee would piss off the left more, Ted Cruz, Roy Moore, Bill O'reilly? I say pick one of them.

Is he joking or is there a real reason why it is imperative?

SCOTUS Judges can be impeached. Just putting it out there.

And the one judge ever to be impeached was because Congress accused him of basing his opinions on his political views. I think in something like that, if an overturn of Roe v Wade happened under a Democratic House and Senate I bet they would try to impeach one.

So the whole nothing matters argument should definitely not be taken by liberals. That's what got us in this position. We have a system of checks and balances, people need to remember that. The reason it isn't working right now is because one party holds all the power. Change that and things will change.

But the president will get his pick. It will just be a degree of extremist. Losing the senate would mean less extreme. So I think it’s not that big a factor this time.

There will be short term rage on the Democratic side matched by short term passion on the right. Hard to know who that will favor in the upcoming elections.

By the time another SC nominee is up it won't be the factor anymore that it is in the short term.

The democrats are unlikely to flip the Senate and I think this helps Republicans hold it more than Democrats flip it. Just my opinion.

I think this also helps Trump with conservatives that aren't Trump conservatives. He will be the most consequential president of our lifetimes when it's all said and done. Resistance is fading.

It's far more likely that the Republicans pick up a few more seats than it is to flip the Senate.
