I feel like a famous Edvard Munch painting... Even those who buy the right wing spin/justification have to admit that Bush was lying when Bush said, "I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees." Most people recognized the lie right away. Now we have proof, via Josh...
oops, caught in another one. its a good thing he didnt lie about a blowjob or he would really be in trouble. heck of a job bushie!
Speaking of which... Edvard Munch: The Modern Life of the Soul February 19–May 8, 2006 This is the first retrospective devoted to the work of the internationally renowned Norwegian painter, printmaker, and draftsman to be held in an American museum in almost three decades. Edvard Munch: The Modern Life of the Soul surveys Munch’s career in its entirety, from 1880 to 1944, showcasing his artistic achievement in its true richness and diversity. http://www.moma.org/exhibitions/2006/munch.html Going Saturday! I'm so excited!
I want to hear all those chickenhawk Bushiiiiiiiiiites come to this thread, in the same manner and deflect blame brom Bush now, as they did during the aftermath of Katrina. NO sane person really believed "The Liar" when he declared: "We couldnt know" No sane person fell for his BS about Katrina. Only the hackneyed cackling chorus of the political hacks did. HERES your proof guys (you know who you were). Lets see you rise up to this occasion. Dare I bet one of two things occur. 1. More deflecting of blame to some democrat 2. A complete silence and utter hiding in shame. LOL!!! How classic. Bush caught lying on tape.
No doubt my man ~ in fact the handlers were hoping for a big headline grabbing splash with his secret visit to Afghanistan. The reality was they didn't get much more than a blurb on the national newscasts.
On the radio they were talking about why this country isn't uniting together like they did after 9.11. Well its pretty obvious, no one cares about New Orleans. That is all.
Everything changed on 9/11. Now the Commander in Chief of the Homeland, formerly known as the President can make his own rules.
A lot of people in NOLA brought that up and are pretty pissed about it. A natural disaster striking a mostly poor and African-American city just doesn't sustain national interest as terrorism striking NYC. Katrina should've led to a war on disasters through greater spending on levees, storm walls, strengthened infrastructure, evacuation plans, and preparedness. Unfortunately its easier rally people to spend money on the military and surveillance than on the far more realistic and devestating threats of disasters.
I guess Wolf Blitzer hit the nail on the head when he described those affected as "so poor... so black."
