I like the fact that we'll have 20k dead and 20% unemployment by next week. Gotta give Trump points for 2020 vision. Branding, folks, branding!

    A) I agree with you, and generally, these people are the ones making the most noise as well. We can't simply disagree anymore, I have to be right and YOU have to be wrong, that's the world we live in today! Looking at anything in hindsight will always make you look smarter, but unfortunately, you can only look at hindsight after events have already occurred. I also agree with @Inchan this administration could've handled things a lot better...(hindsight)

    B) Humongous pride/ego would seem like something someone would have if they wrote a book called "Shut Up and Listen".
Still say he gets rid of other assets before the Rockets.

I'd also research implementing legislation that encourages work from home practices for the existing working class whose companies don't have the infrastructure to allow it.

For instance, PBX phone operators for hospitals have to work on site at call centers instead of have a work provided laptop with the capability of transferring calls and sending out pages to medical staff at home. Or the ability to respond to various hospital codes that need to be announced on overhead speakers on site, like visitation hours, to Code Reds, meaning a fire is on the hospital site, to a Code Orange, meaning there's a chemical leak on site, to a Code Gray, meaning verbal threats of violence are being made on site and security needs to respond ASAP. All of these things in theory, should be able to be done while working from home, but due to lack of IT infrastructure, aren't.

None of these measures may help much for the present epidemic, but may be necessary measures assuming this outbreak becomes seasonal for the coming years. Setting up a better IT infrastructure to allow for more work from home practices and encouraging it would be good for future outbreaks similar to what we're dealing with now. That would be taking a proactive approach, while also improving the IT infrastructure of the United States and opening up even more construction job opportunities to lay physical cable across all 50 states. I mean there's so much that could be done by this administration that isn't.

Lol, "could have handled things a lot better" is like saying the Hindenburg had a bumpy landing.

When the corpse wagons come to your town, you'll see the light. Which is actually ****ing darkness

Which is really a small number of dead percentage wise. There's nothing anybody can do about the unemployment numbers.

This really a very vague question.
Are you saying Coronavirus isn't a big problem and we've overreacted? Or are you saying it can't be done?

For the first one. If you are looking at this from an economic standpoint. We need to react & slow the spread so that our hospitals aren't overwhelmed. If our health sector is decimated it will lead to a higher death rate & will re-verberate through the economy. Also a death toll of 10% (like Italy) could lead to 1 million dead if there's a 1/3 infection rate. This would lead to terrible consumer confidence worse than now. Acting is the only reasonable plan.

If you're saying it can't be done. The testing can be done. Germany & South Korea got testing straight away and were doing thousand tests daily.

You seem to think mass testing means test 300 million People in the next hour? It doesn't. It means identifying the most at risk people. Those who have travelled or are showing symptoms first. Then those who have been in contact with those people second. Hopefully doing 30 000 tests daily initially. Then moving to the drive by testing clinics that South Korea implemented.

Then isolating those patients from other patients in the hospital & from society. So they don't put others at risk.

I hope this is useful? If you have other questions can you please be more specific. Thank you.

Can you provide examples of people calling Trump racist for shutting down flights from China?

As already stated Biden has called Trump a xenophobe but called him a xenophobe because he is a xenophobe (ie Charlottesville / Birther ) . Biden has made the point a person with his history is not someone we can trust.

Not because of stoping flights from China. Though Trump has tried to change history and claim that's the reason Biden called him a racist.

Put that on a red hat and then wear it

When you get out of quarantine.

Which is likely not for awhile.

Except to be evicted or collect unemployment or go to the hospital.

    Or a field morgue.

    #MAGA folks

    Oh this is interesting.

As an Australian I have less grasp on America's constitutional rights. Can you explain to me why social distancing - stay at home orders etc etc would be un- Constitutional.

Or can you explain what your reply means?

Basically, it's saying as a potential asymptomatic carrier, his Constitutional rights to go out in public in large crowds is more valuable than fellow American lives whose immune system's may not respond favorably to the virus. If it doesn't personally affect him, it's not his problem.

But what are the actual legal issues around a stay at home order?
