Trying to decide on what movie to watch tonight (both are the Disney animated movies)

i asked a few friends and so far the vote amongst them is split down the middle

why these two movies? well in the mood for something light and not too long usually animated movies fall in that category and I have not seen either of these two movies in probably 7-8 years though I've bought the DVDs for these movies last year.

which one would you go for and why?

thanks to those who participate and entertain my monday afternoon boredom

 Neither of these has any Mexicans in it, but I gotta vote for the closest: JUNGLE BOOK has both natives and monkeys

I vote for MOWGLI, BALOO, BAGHEERA, SHERAH KHAN, KING LOUIE, and that snake whose name I don't remember, cuz.

    Señor YoYo: ♫ I wanna be like you-hoo-hoo... ♪

JUNGLE BOOK is my vote.

This a very tough decision for me.

If had not seen either in a long time and had to choose I would be torn down the middle.

The Jungle Book is a great story, with great supporting characters, a truly menacing villain with an intimidating baritone voice, and of course Baloo.

Baloo the comedic masterpiece. The synergy of synergies. The fun-loving Naturalist, and the stern disciplinarian. The scene where he is forced to come to terms with giving his man-cub back to the society that will only turn him against his jungle brethren is unspeakably good.

With all that being said, a point must be made that the duplication of Baloo as Little John in Robin Hood is quite good on a comedic level. Robin Hood is a sillier movie for sure.

Both have moments of drama that add to the story's overall depth. Mowgli's troubling journey back into human society vs the tyrannical punishments of King John wrought on his furry bourgeois are both gripping tales of interest.

Despite my fondness for Disney's Robin Hood which I feel is the superior film in terms of fun and pure entertainment, I must conclude this breakdown with a recommendation for The Jungle Book for its gripping human interest story, the existentialism showcased by Baloo, the myriad of characters that both shock and entertain, the cunning and supercilious attitude of the pretentious Shere Khan and of course the cameo by "The Vultures" which is an obvious homage to The Beatles.

With the amount of animation they reused they could be the same movie!

If I'm in the mood for animated movies, I tend to go Pixar :)

I can say that I've never seen Jungle Book though (I don't even remember Robin Hood) so I'm iffy about both =\
