Dei being an idiot doesn't mean that you have to be one too. John Wall is a young player with evident talent whose career has been disrupted by injury.
Not being an idiot, just pointing out the double standard. John Wall is having a really piss poor year, and his career averages are just terrible. It's kind of funny how nobody points this out.
<br> John Wall's stats aren't that good but people look past it because he has tremendous potential His skill set is close to being on par with Derrick Rose. The Wizards are just a horrible franchise that don't know how to develop talent.
Wall has been impressive since his return and the Wizards have a winning record with him in the lineup. He really needs to work on that jumper though. It's beyond bad, he makes Lin look like Reggie Miller. Aside from that he excels at every other thing you could ask from a 1 though.
His PER this year is 20.88. His PER last three years are 15.85, 17.77, 20.88. I see a steady progression.
Agreed. This is particularly poor timing given his play in albeit more limited minutes since returning from his injury. His per 36 numbers are fantastic. He hasn't made a 3, but he's only attempted 5 in 10 games, so it's not like he is forcing it. I think pretty much any sane Rockets fan would trade Lin for Wall.
The 3 point shot does NOT have to be the end-all-be-all Andre Miller has had a long productive career without shooting the 3. John Stockton was actually a very terrible 3 point shooter 4 of his first 5 years in the league. With John Wall, the Wizards have been a WINNING team since he's been back. No Wall hasnt quite been #1 pick worthy, and the recent team peformance could be a flash in the pan this year. But he's still been productive enough and has all the tools and age on his side.
Add Jason Kidd to that list. Having one of the worse 3 point shots in the league, till his twilight years where he's been tearing it up from 3 point range. But yeah he's still got a higher ceiling than most, so he's got time to develop that along with his other skills.
Kidd wasn't THAT bad. In his first two years he went 203/653 for 31%. Wall in his first two years went 37/157 for 23%. That's a pretty substantial difference.
It definitely helps to have an actual Point Guard playing for the team. They had Combo Guards like Jordan Crawford and Shelvin Mack playing there while Wall was injured.
John Wall is a chump! On the note of his three pointers: Only a moron identifies a weakness in their game and avoids it. J Smooth be throwin up them treys all day, yu herr? That what make that fool a super star. But JWall tryin to play to his strengths, WHICH MAKES HIM WEAK. (But on a serious note I don't know why I click on threads that I know will make me disappointed in the community)
