What a colossal waste of talent this guy is/was. Had the size/skills to be great. If GS can get 50% of his potential out of him, it would be a success.
This is a very low risk move. If he even starts to waver and become a dumb**** again, and revert to the mean-he's cut. If he is able to put together patches of a good season-- this is a hell of a signing.
Javale and Draymond...oh my... Now they need to get Jarvis Cripteon on this team and have a card game
I hear the word greatness thrown too much around here. A lot of the bigs have potential in the NBA, let us just not not use that word that often.
If Festival Ezeli was on the team and had productive moments then I fully expect McGee to make the roster and play well. All he has to do is block some shots, grab some boards, make some dunks and set a lot of illegal picks. Shouldn't be that hard for a mobile athletic big.
Not David Lee. Do you realize in the championship season, he got 8 DNPs in the playoffs and 7 more games where he played less than 5 minutes? In other words, Lee's 19/10 could not fit into that system even for 5 minutes for 15 games of the playoffs.
Why even bother having NBA games this season? Javale will bring a ring to GS for as long as he is active.
Javale is the X-Factor, bringing DMo's butt sweat to every game. Oh, the possibilities. This move could help the rest of the league
Javale was a very productive player years ago. If he could do those things now, he would not have to beg to attend training camp. I have not watched him, but it 's my understanding from others that injuries took away his athleticism years ago. People here are always trying to attribute player declines to character flaws - Francis, TMac, etc. It's a big enough of a miracle to make it in the NBA at peak health, but ppl expect players to remain stars when their bodies are shells of what they once were?
Warriors are the most pathetic excuse of a professional sports team in sports history. We got steven curry the child money stealer. We got donkey draymond the thug. We got the durant the beta. We got klay the expressionless facial expression boy. We got Igudala the immature old man.
I don't know about that. I don't see anything wrong with saying he could have been great if he maximized his potential. How many bigs have had his combination of size + athleticism + agility + skills?
