I could see that trade actually. I proposed a similar scenario a few weeks ago.

I can see Minnesota growing tired of the Cassell and Sprewell contract demands and want to make a move.

As for NJ, moving Kidd's huge lenghty contract is a no brainer to me. If NJ got Sprewell, Mo and Boki as an example they would have an expiring contracts in Sprewell and Nachbar and Mo would come off the cap in two years, much shorter time than Kidd's. Plus NJ has a need for a PF.

If the Rockets could move Mo/Boki for Cassell they should do it. It would solidify the PG spot for now and give the Rockets a 3rd scorer and playmaker, something this team needs. Plus they wouldnt have Mo's contract anymore which would be a godsend.

JKidd preinjury looked pretty good to me..

If Jason fully recovers from his injury he would be worth a look and his leadership on this team would be worth more than the money on his contract.

He might not be the best fit but if he doesnt work out we could move him for some better fitting pieces.

I just hope NJ takes on our crappy contracts.

No matter what team Kidd is on, even the Rockets, you can guarantee they will be a running team. That is what he brings. Kidd-McGrady-Jackson. They'd be running. That much I know. He'd fit in here. I just don't see NJ making that trade with all the other options available. That being said, I believe Kidd would play here if we were his only way out of NJ.

As far as the contract, You should never look at that because the bad contract almost always goes away somehow. If you get tied down by a contract it may be two years of which you take it in the groin; at the most. There is almost always a way to clean house and get back on your feet. One bad contract does not destroy the team.

Trade Not likely to happen, but you are looking at two desperate teams in this scenario. So you have possible bed mates should the contenders fail to make a deal.
