Allright i might have judged him too early and it seems like that hamstring was holding him back. He looks a lot of quicker and gets more lift on his corner three, he looks definetly better now

I have a fetish for roof-scraping 3s. I love a shot with so much lift everyone can get back on D before the swish. Old school, baby. And, of course, the math favors it.

Ennis cuts more than Ariza. Ariza got Kobe in him, he prefers to perimter shoots. He cut a lot more in his Laker days.

They cant wait 15 games for him to start playing well …. by that time they'll be buried deep down in the playoff seedings.

The Rockets despite their horrific start are only 2 games out of the #4 seed in the West. And 2 of the teams they're trailing in the standings(Thunder, Spurs) are their next opponents. If they keep playing like they did last night and stay healthy(and get EG back), they could be right back in the middle of the playoff picture. I don't think they'll ever catch the Warriors unfortunately, but then again, who will?

Hell, I'm still a worrier too. They've only beaten one good team through the first 9 games. They looked awful at home in 3 of the 4 losses. And several of their key players like CP3 and EG have been underwhelming thus far to put it charitably. The upside is that things can certainly improve going forward. The downside however could be that maybe CP3 is past his prime and EG is reverting to his New Orleans form. Only time will tell.

One positive I cling to though is that the Rockets are 3-1 with their Big Three this season. Very small sample of course, but you'll recall they were 42-3 in the regular season last year when Harden, CP3, and Capela were in the lineup.

I envisioned the season was going to be an up and down roller coaster due to inconsistency and injuries.

At the end they are still a Top 2-4 team. I am just not going to worry that much.

I think the level headed among us were concerned, not about the Rockets being horrible and missing the playoffs or even missing home court advantage, but rather about having the separation between the Rockets and GSW separate a lot. I'm not surprised they've won the last three. I won't be surprised if the still win mid 50s games. I would be very surprised if this team as constructed, even if fully healthy throughout the playoffs, makes it through the western conference.

Is another WCF loss the Warriors a failed season? Technically, yes, obviously. Objectively, it's the best squad perhaps ever constructed in modern sports. 5 current all-stars, a former one on the bench, 3 MVP seasons - 1 unanimous, a guy trying to compete as a top 3 SF of all time, a guy who is already a top 3 PG of all time (I say top 2... him and Magic), a DPOY and guy who might be the best defender of this "generation" and play style, etc.

To get on track with the thread... I guess the jury is still out on Ennis. He's hitting threes. He's ok defensively. But he doesn't give much else... Ariza grabbed 4-5+ boards a game every year with us for example.

Like what about Chris Paul looks past prime? He's shooting poorly on jumpers, that's about it. Nothing else in his game look even somewhat diminished.

Thanks but this is rather meaningless. It compares Ariza on the Rockets to Ennis on the Pistons/Griz (past 3 years).

So, Ariza on the Rox was an "average starter"? And his 5-YR MARKET VALUE is $54.6M? I.e. not $15M per year.
And Ennis' 5-YR MARKET VALUE is $12.9M, or $2.6M per year. And we are paying him less than that. . . .

Say what you will but some of these recover and contests Ennis makes Ariza couldn't do in his dreams. Morey was once again ahead of the curve as the league is trending towards longer react recover contest guys instead of ball denial push you off your spot guys.

If you are looking at the future and Harden and Pauls combined record is only 3-1 then we are in trouble. Lol..

Ariza is so trash. Just watching the Suns game and thinking how stupid was that gm to pay him that money.

Devin Booker says Suns must improve chemistry after 'embarrassing' loss
    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ove-chemistry-embarrassing-loss-brooklyn-nets

Devin Booker says the struggling Phoenix Suns need to start holding one another accountable, citing a lack of team chemistry after an "embarrassing" loss Tuesday night to the Brooklyn Nets.

Maybe they should get some VETS in there to help!.......oh wait......
