    He’s an alternate (Select team) which mean if someone gets hurt he, Chet Holgrem or Cade get to go to the Philippines as a replacement.

    Doubt the alternates practice - which is why we haven’t seen either of the 3

    They definitely practice, because that's the whole point of having a select team. It's not just extra bodies for the USA team to practice against (they can't just keep scrimmaging against themselves), the select team needs to go through the same training and playbook in order to become potential future members of the main team.

    Green’s was probably the worst defensive player in the NBA last season, but it was all about lack of effort and tenacity. If he starts putting-in effort - as I think he will this season, in order to get his extension - he has the tools to be a good defensive player.
