It’s interesting this morning - ESPN they are arguing - is it a foul or natural shooting motion

I believe 3x this season Jalen has gotten offensive fouls on his fadeaway

Wonder how officials will call this going forward..

    It should be a no-call.

Right handed players fading to the right naturally kick out their right leg for balance purposes. Should be a no call.

No call is my vote too for players fading towards their shooting hand. I don't think it changes the shot much. What will happen if they call it that way though is players will start closing out into that leg to alter the shot even more, and then they'll have to call it a defensive foul. It can't be an offensive foul though. You cannot shoot without kicking that lead leg out for balance on a shot like that.

Jalen also naturally and unnecessarily fade on his mid ranges. Should be a no call.

Add me on the list of no call.

Offense players already have enough advantages.

Also, if the offensive players jump forward for his jumpshot it should also be a no call. The zone between two players should be neutral.

it's a foul and should be punishable by trade
