He was asked specifically about those 4 players. And he answered. Why would he throw anyone else in he has no clue what moves the team will make or whom the coach will start. Seems like a pretty straight forward answer to me. He wasn't the one bringing up the names, just agreed that talent is good with names mentioned.
Why would he say anything to the contrary? Harden is an elite player and is also an elite distributor. if Jabari’s said anything disparaging about Harden at this point, and then Harden signed with Houston, it would put Jabari in a predicament. Anyone criticizing Jabari over his positive opinion about playing with Harden, is obviously thinking as a fan that doesn’t have to deal with the consequences of burning bridges. Never forget the old adage, if you don’t have anything positive to say about someone, don’t say anything at all.
Forgive him lord for he knows not what he speaks. Seriously though. What else is he suppose to say? The reporter asked him about Harden potentially coming back first. He can't answer and say something like "Harden is a washed up bum now. We don't want him back." even if he really felt that way.
If Harden joins and Rockets miss the playoffs, Jabari will be the first one that is blamed by honeybuns.
of course he does he knows what Harden has done with regular bigs with no offensive game whatsoever players with Jabari’s skillset want to play next to elite passers and playmakers, not have the likes of KPJ out there cosplaying as a PG
Hopefully he's just being respectful with a mic in his face. Harden go back to Philly or goes "home" to Arizona. Or "home" to LA. If he and Bron could coexist that would be a nasty Lakers squad.
