Like I said before, he won’t win you games and he won’t lose you games. That’s not what you want to say about a 3rd pick. That’s the definition of a role player. He plays to play not to make an impact.
He does remind me of a better Charles Smith from the 90s Knicks, but I'd take Scottie Pippen on defense if he can ever get there.
He’s limited and not a star but I buy the hard work, mentality and he’ll grow into his body. Not a top 3 pick return but he’ll be an elite role player. Our top 2 picks from 21’ and 22’ were simply not maximized. That’s on our front office. But Bari will be a very good player in this league; he’s only 20
He was on Kawhi and PG most of game and failed, but Brook was also on him and he was getting cooked too so not gonna bash Jabari too much for tonight.
35th in total rebound % 33rd in defensive rebound % 42nd in offensive rebound % Jabari needs to add strength and weight.
I don’t understand the point of this thread when we have like 12 other Jabari threads that cover everything from “Franchise Player” to “Bust” Yeah, he didn’t have a good game overall but he spread the floor against the Clippers and hit his shots. He’ll have good games. He’ll have worse games than this one by far. It’s all part and parcel of rooting for a young player
He's 20, playing against guys who are mostly 5-10 years older than him, with a lot more NBA experience. Jabari will get there. This thread will age like those "Garuba will be our Draymond" threads have.
Hahaha, I think peeps are thinking why not make another thread and another thread..... I want my own Jabari or Jalen Chapter.
Idiots complaining about rebounding when he’s on perimeter most the game - it’s why Alpi got 19 … and vice versa last week when Smith went on his run of 15+ rebounds a game Depends on who he’s playing and where he’s positioned … and if Alpi is gobbling boards up or if Jalen or Amen are grabbing boards he wasn’t crashing the offensive boards cause he had to get back to Kawhi or PG
