Well this turned to be a disastrous year but it could be a blessing in the long run.

We have lots of players on the roster still under the age of 25. With the right moves we can turn around the ship rather quickly and look to build a contender in the next 2-3 years. But it will take some serious moves this summer, the likes of which I'm not sure we have gusto to do so.

1. Full Front Office & Coaching Layoffs (We need fresh perspectives about our current players and our current future. There is far too much baggage right now).

2. Full Rebranding (Time for a clean look from everything to the logo to the uniforms).

3. Prioritize fan experience (Make Toyota Center a place where people will actually want to go. Cheap food & Drinks, stop with the lower bowl fiasco).

4. Figure out on the roster who you want to build around then sell the rest. (Is it Amen? Sengun? Reed? Who cares just pick 2-3 dudes out of the 6 and start building a roster).

I have a hard time believing bad teams won’t continue to have some sort of advantage to pick high in the draft, but that advantage right now is already so limited. They may kick the can and do half measures like axing pick protections or they may create a rule that says no team can get two top picks within x amount of yrs or something like that. Our Dallas pick could be f#cked. We just don’t know. Teams that have been hoarding picks but don’t yet have their stars could be in rough shape. Could see a lot of teams trying to cash in their chips this summer before they lose value.

All this uncertainty makes it really hard to chart a strategic course for team building. Right now if you’ve got good prospects, warts and all, you are probably better off being patient and prioritizing development as opposed to churning through them for future picks. I’ve got to remember that the next time I watch Bari brick multiple shots in a row. And draft pick uncertainty is probably gonna make picks in the 2026 class (which we have none of in the 1st round) that much more valuable. Sitting on two 2027 pick assets is feeling more and more like a full sh#t diaper.

I think you're giving the FO waaaaay too much credit. To me we swapped the picks because Stone wanted to take a run at Booker. From all the stuff I can see, they were going hard after him and really weren't expecting the Suns to say no. Then we settled for Durant which I'm sure Ime really pushed to have him on the roster after the series with GS.

The issue isnt our young guys though they may be annoying they are actually really good at winning together. You need to find more pieces that fit together and give players time to grow. As frustrating as Jabari is he is still only 22. Senguns fg% is frustrating but they closely match Jokers at the same age and his numbers are better that a lot of guy who went on to be superstars at the same age. Amen doesnt have a shot now but again he's young. Giving up now would be stupid you just need to go young save for one or two guys and continue the rebuild.

I hope by year 5 Amen has a post game and dribble pullup. I also hope Sengun can shoot 15-25 ft by year 7. I just doubt they can get there in this amount of time and we may may never see them develop into the players we want.

No need to reset, just play on because end of the day it’s all business and I guarantee you that once Kawahi verdict comes out this will get sweep under the rug. Minor tweak we need is needing actual PG and competent (assistant) coach who can help out Ime or replace him given chance
