Looks like he has proven he no worse than the 3rd best shooting guard in the league (Kobe/McGrady) and a top 10 player.

We have been hearing it for Dirk, and rightly so, but this guy isn't far behind.

I agree. Pierce has been special all season and he is clearly the best guy on his team. Now he is proving himself as a clutch player.

What I liked about Pierce aside from the great game was that he didn't join Employee #8 in acting like an idiot out on the court. Walker hits a three and does a strip tease, the very next trip down court Pierce hits a three and just runs back on defense like a star is supposed to do.

Pierce is one of my most fav NBA players to watch. He is just such a great finisher off of some insane shots.

    Only behind Duncan I think.

I would be speaking good about him, but he just beat one of my favorite teams.

    Darn you Paul Pierce! :)

    EXACTLY. Classy athletes rule.

Think how good he would be if Shaq were on his team...

Pierce is the truth! Absolutely brilliant. Tremendous shooting skills along with a solid all round game both on offense and defense.
I always thought that he was better than Vince Carter.
If the Celtics get a good center next year they could possibly be contending for the Championship.

It's nice to see new stars able to prove themselves in the playoffs and reach superstar status. Kinda like Mcgrady and Ray Allen did last in the playoffs. I see Pual Pierce taking up this role very nicely.

After the Rockets, the Celtics have been one of my long-time favorite teams. I didn't like Pittino at Kentucky and had real problems when he went to the C's.

Paul Pierce is a class act on the rise and I have enjoyed watching him for several years (albeit obscurely). Jim O'Brien does deserve some of the credit for getting the Celtics to believe in themselves and each other.

Maybe it's easier for Pierce to remain humble...ever notice he looks into the rafters more than Walker?

Pierce kinda reminds me of the late Celtic Reggie Lewis. I used to love to watching Reggie Lewis play basketball on Sundays. The guy was fun to watch and root for. His basketball skills were really peaking right before his death. Pierce seems to be puttin it in high gear just like the late Reggie Lewis did in his day, and its fun to watch.

Was Pierce the one who recovered from the horrible stabbings?

They're one great post defender from putting the Celts back on top.

    Lakers vs. Celtics

    Anyone remember that game?

Can we talk about Michael Curry instead?

He was all over Pierce today. I'm sure Pierce will get a few 30 point games in the series, but Curry put the clamps down in the first one (and scored a remarkable amount of points on his own--well remarkable for Curry).

I don't know if you can say that. Pierce was hitting some nice shots against Curry, even though the shots were against tough coverage from Curry.
