Is it wrong to hope that the Rockets will lose vs the Clips?

Heck no, I want 60 wins. We also have to prove that we can actually beat good teams, and not have to hope to get lucky and get a weaker team.

I always said, at least to myself, that if we get to the WCF is a win for this team.

But getting there will be difficult for the reason that stars have to align in order for us to get there.

It would be nice if we face the Blazers in the first round.

Followed by the Spurs in the second round.

But beating them will be hard, we are talking about the Spurs and the playoffs.

Then, if we beat them we will be looking at to face the Thunder.

A great storyline for the media to write if we at least make it in the WCF.

With all that said, I would like our team to win the upcoming game for two factors --- momentum and morale.

We are on a winning streak and you want them to bring that in the playoffs.

At the same time, you need to give them hope that they can beat anyone on this game.

They have beaten us multiple times in the past, it's time for a change.

Believe in our guys and let things happen.

 

It's not time to run away and hide from the Clippers and the Thunder, it's time to figure out how to beat their ass.

If the Rockets stay at the #4 seed they could face Portland, whom I think they would beat, but they are just as likely to face Golden St. or Memphis. Either of those teams could beat the Rockets in a 7 game series.

 

we will likely play one of those two teams in the second round if we were the 3 or the 4.

 

Portland is freefalling right now though. Theyre dropping games left and right. It wouldnt surprise me if GSW hopped over them in the next few games.

 

Losing to a team we would likely have to beat to win a championship is not a good thing. Beating the clippers after falling 3 times to them can do wonders for our confidence heading into the post season.
