I like the hire and I am sure he will be a much better coach than Silas. But he inherited a great team in Boston. Joe Mazzulla took over and Boston didn’t seem to miss a beat. How much of Boston’s success can be attributed to him?
OP is always trying to stir the pot with some bullsh*t…stfu already Ime would’ve been had that Hawks series wrapped up in 4 it is Joe Mazulla who inherited all the great work Ime had done Celtics were +4000 to win the title and had the 4th best odds of coming out of the East going into last season…now everybody wants to act like they for sure had Boston making the finals and taking GS to 6
I don’t know about that. Ime’s Celtics choked game 5 away against the Bucks and almost choked the Miami series. And I thought Boston had a better team than GS.
if i was a betting man, i would say @ashleyem would b the first to create the first real thread wanting to fire ime
Ime’s Celtics won elimination game 6 on the road in Milwaukee then handled business in game 7 Ime’s Celtics won a game 7 on the road in Miami Celtics literally just choked away a game 5 against the trash Hawks… cut it out
Ime inherited a 36-36 team and took them to the finals in a year their own gm said was for building instead of contending. This “ready made team” narrative is something people are making up in their minds. Ime swept Kyrie and KD in the first round, Mazzulla got taken to 6 games by a playin team.
Just want to add that Brogdan is not a scrub. Just won 6th man of the year. Ime didn't have a PG, so this is a better roster. So Joe is coaching a much better team.
A person's character is shown when those that know them speak candidly about them. From coworkers to coaches to players, he is always spoke highly of as a coach AND a person. Good enough for me.
