In my honest opinion, there’s not a better center for this roster at the moment.

Without taking the time to read a whole thread about a question that I never thought had any reason to be a question when the answer in his (what?) fourth year is a resounding YES and he's as close to an untouchable as can be without being an all-star, is anyone here still arguing he ISN'T really the answer at center?

He's making a great case for most improved player and there's no center I'd rather have NOW, let alone when he gets better which he clearly will continue to do. His work ethic is unassailable and almost unmatched. His improvements from one year to the next have been a revelation and this year he has arrived.

No center I'd rather go to battle with and Nene and Black are the perfect complements. I love our center rotation so much but it's Capela that's really special. His ceiling is impossible to predict and I hope we retire his number. I hope he plays his entire career with us.

Other than Gobert, I agree. Capela is a perfect fit here, and playing like a top 10 C overall, maybe even better than that.

I was looking at league leaders and was amazed at how many categories Clint Capela shows up in including advanced stats like PER and OWS and Offense Rating on top of all the defensive categories.

He keeps addressing negatives like outplaying the Memphis front line this season

Offensive rating is a bit misleading, all of clint shot attempts are at the rim. Clint open for the lob is the best play we have, but thats kinda priority #1 to defend because of its efficiency, so its very hard to increase the volume of these shots.

If capela could shoot the 3 and make his freethrows, you could have a legitimate debate about him being the best center in the league.

Capela is great for our team. Hitting better from the line. But lately he has gone soft on his layup attempts. Too many layups not enough hard dunks. Against the lakers he got blocked a couple times by a smaller player. He also didn’t finish well at the rim. He travelled a couple times and lost the ball as well.
He needs to be focus and go strong
Still he is the best fit for us.
Dj is better at finishing but we would be getting back a dj a lot and would either have to sit him or live w the hacking. Tho at the beginning of the season dj was hitting higher percentage of his ft too. Idk about now but he was hitting them constantly the first 5 games.

    Demarcus who? :p

Capela is perfect for this team. He is staying out of foul trouble and getting some nice blocks. If he can keep improving his ability to block the ball, it will be icing on the cake.
