I saw a recent thread on here asking why we don't run any plays, so I thought I'd start a new video series detailing some of the plays that Silas is running, why some aren't working, why others are etc. I didn' want to get super deep into some monologue about the offense - I think it's a disaster without Wood and the 5-out with Cousins, Patton etc when he was injured was awful. But I wanted to just showcase some Xs and Os stuff that he is trying to do, and hopefully you'll spot something you didn't notice first time around
We need content like this, great work Foggy. I cant watch the video right now but I will later. Edit: For those of you who want to be a smart ass and say "well how can you know its great work if you didnt watch it." Well...I have read/watched his previous stuff and it is pretty good. So Im making an educated guess.
Bump, so from what it seems like, we have some good actions but we also dont have good personnel to run it, which is what I have though. He's got some nice sets that I like.
This terrible season as always been about the lack of talent out there trying to create plays and make open 3s. He can’t make them make the open shots created in the offense. Wall’s selfish play of late has really hurt the team.
Yeah he came into training camp with a plan for a whole different team which fit into how Dallas played last year (and a lot of what we were already doing anyway) and he’s not really departed from that or changed too much. I don’t really blame him, what’s the point? He has never known what his team will even look like from one week to the next so starting from scratch and flipping everything on its head makes no sense. Not to mention they’ve had probably 5 practices the last 3 months, so it would be impossible anyway.
I think this thread should be revived. (Different roster, rookies etc...) Are there any new plays that catch your attention?
Dallas offense went from record setting to slow and trash today, FWIW, of course a lot of that is Luka Zeppelin not able to do as much.
Nathan - how does Paolo's passing contribute to the Silas offense? I'm getting excited about having a(nother) big with this level of playmaking
