The burger is pretty good at In-N-Out but I agree, I never get the fries and go for a strawberry shake. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it like I do for Whataburger but hey, if its there I`m gonna get one to change it up a little. I go to Ontario Ca quite a bit and there everywhere.......as far as Del Taco, there are a bunch in Cali and there OK, never had fries there though

Toppings are certainly delicious. They would be tops if they didn't use frozen fries

I don't know if they're anywhere in the Houston area, being an Austin burger, fries, rings, and shake place, but Mighty Fine's fries are outstanding. So are the burgers and shakes. My main complaint are their onion rings, which taste funny to me for some reason, and they don't have malt to add to the excellent shakes (BlueBell). Not cheap, though. That's another strike against them if we're talking inexpensive burger chains.

What's odd to me is that while a few In-N-Outs have opened in Austin, and I'm a huge fan of The Big Lebowski, I've never had the desire to try one. I don't really know why, but it sounds like I'm not missing much.

Haven't seen a Mighty Fine. Haven't been but a few Hopdoddys have cropped up recently, think they're from Austin as well?

The import from Austin I want is a Jack Allen's.

Yes, that's another good burger place that started in Austin, only now they're in 6 states and planning to go nationwide. Mighty Fine is still just in Austin, I think. We've been to Jack Allen's several times. There's one in southwest Austin, not too far from where we live. Good food.

I think the owners of Rudys started Mighty Fine.

    Wouldn't mind both in California.

Not a big fan of Mighty Fine fries. You need to add their salt seasoning for any flavor. Their burgers are okay, too. I find myself going to Fuddruckers more.
