Because there was no ban. Fox News was originally excluded from an interview with a Treasury "Pay Czar" Kenneth Steinberg. The other news organizations including CNN complained and Fox News (Major Garrett) was included.
Again, the complaint wasn't about Obama but his Pay Czar. Who ultimately did talk with Fox News. And while Obama was critical of Fox News and I am sure didn't want to be interviewed by Fox News reporters, he was interviewed on Fox a number of times (including with Chris Wallace, with Bill O'Reilly, with Bret Baier). I suppose Trump can reverse field and agree to talking with CNN.
Well I don't know if this counts as president accepting money from foreign governments, but it is interesting to note that if you go to China in the future you might be able to hire a President Trump escort. http://time.com/4696245/china-approve-trump-trademarks/ Here is an article that highlights the Trump escort patents. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/03/08/president_trumpthemed_escort_services_in_china/ Either way it's nice to know that Trump slams China, but is fine opening new businesses and making money off of Chinese labor. So much for him saying he was the guy that was going to fix that.
Perhaps starting with an investigation would be a reasonable approach? Especially one not hindered or influenced by the White House?
Paul Ryan hasn't got his beloved tax cuts to the wealthy yet. The House is the only entity that can start an impeachment hearing. To my Dem & independent friends - Trump's not getting impeached. Even if he committed a crime, I still highly doubt it happens until 2018 (if the Dems take back the House). As a Progressive message, "Impeach Trump" is about the least effective. How about lets focus on our platform & agenda, and let Trump fall on his own sword.
Of course you haven't. Catsup doesn't exist. Ketchup does! I love this quote from Buck, "Donald Trump is a poor person's idea of what a rich person should be like." That is so true.
If I had to bet on it I'd go all in on betting that the pee tape being true over Trump getting impeached.
Democrats will not win the house or senate until 2020. It's 4 years of G to the O to the P You can't impeach someone because you don't like them or they are doing a bad job. It's meant for people in office that commit a crime so it won't come into play unless the FBI announces findings from their investigation that could lead to a grand jury indictment against Trump. You would also need 24 GOP reps to vote for impeachment and 19 senators vote to convict him in a trial. Not happening.
The Dems have to pick up 24 seats to win back the house. It's a tough road to get there but if Trump is still in the 30's with his approval and hasn't moved on jobs and they continue to drop the ball on healthcare, it's possible. But either way it will be tough to get there I agree. What's would be shocking to me is if the GOP establishment doesn't already have a plan to act on ousting Trump to install Pence if they think Trump is toxic enough going into 2020. Or they will announce running someone against him. I think we need to see Trump in the 20's though before we start talking about this seriously. He's also in the high 80's with Republican voters still. Prob more important than overall rating. And yes they always have countless Ethics laws in their back pocket they could pursue to oust him if they wanted. The GWB Ethics lawyer and others already have law suits sitting in court that we will likely hear more about in the coming months. But as I mentioned before, right now the GOP is only concerned with getting Tax cuts done ASAP and they need Trump now to sign off any legislation. If they started trying to oust him in any way it would put off pursuing repeals and reforms they need to get through ASAP. Keep in mind that these bills like Health Care also have to sit in court too for awhile. Trump aint going anywhere for awhile and it will likely take a long shot effort to regain the house to do so. That's why my advice to Dems is to sharpen your economic message and don't just rely on Trump to fall on his own sword.
