Surprised no one has commented on the big social media marketing push by International House of Pancakes. I suspect its an effort to float out a new branding program, but in a very different way. The dumbest thing from all this, is that it took so long for them to serve burgers. I mean, how do you eff up a burger with a flat top grill? For them not to have served them all this time was pretty stoopid.
They've had burgers on their menu for a very long time, they just never really emphasized or marketed that offering very much, until now I guess. I've only seen someone order a burger there just a handful of times in my life, could be why they're taking such extreme measures to make it known "hey! we got burgers!"
They're not actually changing their name. It's just a social media blitz and it worked fantastically. They are getting tons of free advertisement...even on Clutchfans.
They are certainly getting some publicity from this. When was the last time anyone cared or mentioned IHOP
I guess you don't go out clubbing anymore because that's the first word that comes out of half or people leaving at 2am.
