If Yao could only do one

Probably the Olympics because it is so much more of an impossibility for China at this point. The Rockets don't need voodoo magic to win one. We now have enough talent on the team, with the coaching staff, and in the front office to conceivably win it fairly.

 

What are the choices?

 

he actually has a shot playing for a ring.

 

I think he would prefer to win a gold medal.

I would prefer that he won an NBA championship.

 

We're going to see how many Y O Fs really lurk these boards .

You're kidding right? Yao is a proud citizen of the Republic of China first, Houston Rocket second. And we're damn lucky to have him.

 

with or without yao, china will never win an Olympic gold in basketball. face it.

I would have said NBA Championship two days ago but after hearing how important playing for his country is in this summer's Olympics I have to say it is the Gold Medal.

 

I would think most people would pick child. A better comparison is between two children.

 

It's a stupid thread. It's like asking if you would like to have your left arm or right arm chopped off. Or who would you rather have, a white or a black president.

 

Never say never. China does not have a chance in hell to win the gold for a long time, conceivably not in Yao's career.
