Icing Tourists

There is something about the story that makes me go "hmn" as far as just driving too far down one road and, Oops, you've crossed the border; seems there would be some kind of a checkpoint, at least.

No matter the circumstances, they didn't have to be treated like they were hiding an arsenal of AK-47s in their intestines.

 

This outrage aged well.

 

How do you not know you are driving into a foreign country particularly the US?

 

Does one expect detention centers to look like a Holiday Inn?

 

If they had an arsenal of AK-47s, no one would question their American-ness.

 

Why didn't they just NOT STOP, turn around and go back to Canada? The US police could not pursue them.

That's true, Ottomaton. I can easily believe that it happened just how the family described it.

 

Hard to get through that ditch at high speed probably.

 

Go at low speed then, the police can’t pursue.
