Damn. Couldn’t have said it better. I think about leaving this board when I see garbage posted by salvy, raining 3, and the other 3-4 morons. But then I read more coherent thoughts from other members and I feel there’s hope for humanity. honestly I don’t even follow the rockets anymore. It’s mostly a lifestyle forum for me. I'm honestly.not judging or saying what I think should happen. I'm not saying what should or shouldn't be. Only what I'm seeing. I've come across a bunch of "middle of the road" "both sides" types livid to the point that they are swearing and losing their cool. One case I can write that off as something else, but when I see it four or five times? The response from "the middle" is qualitatively different from those other cases based on my non-scientific sampling. There have even been a few hard right people who've had enough and aren't interested in carying water for the administration any longer which would have been unthinkable a few months ago. Again, not saying it deserves to be the instance that becomes mythologized over the other things you've mentioned. I'm not even sure that the response isn't more a cumlative effect than anything specific here. I'm just saying that in the way people have been responding, I see signs of that people across the spectrum have more anger about this than they did for any of the stuff that's come before.
I think reasonable people on both sides can see what happened and no matter how they saw the events, they beleive there should be an indepdent in depth investigation and steps taken to de-escalate. Instead the see the administration lying about the victims and no chance of accountability. Anyone that truly believes the killings were justified, should want a thorough independent investigation. Anyone that doesn't believe the killings were justified should also want a thorough independent investigation. The administration is failing everyone.
