I want to share my story with you guys. Two years ago, I was just a regular CF poster who talked mainly about the Rockets. Then, something happened. I posted a post here talking about my fear of rejection: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=229569 It prompted me to started this 100 Days of Rejection project: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=229569 Ever since, the topic of rejection has become my life mission. I became more fearless and outgoing, and really don't care too much about what others think of me anymore. I spent the past year writing my book: http://www.amazon.com/Rejection-Proof-Became-Invincible-Through/dp/080414138X In fact, I just did this video asking strangers to read my book back to me, and it was hilarious fun: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/k4aCdFIxnyY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> It really goes to show that life can be very interesting, if you decide to go out of your comfortzone and do something crazy. For that, I want to thank the support and feedback I got here at CF.
Congrats on the book! On a related note, it would have been awkward if you ran into Floyd Mayweather at the store.
When I saw the title of this thread, I thought your book was going to be about unexplainable Rockets record prediction streaks.
If your book doesn't haven't two pages about Jontro stuck together, then it's not really a cfnet book...but maybe online version
That's so awesome man. I'm going to suggest this to a friend who's been dealing with this fear after her last boyfriend dumped her and straight up told her its cause he's not attracted to her.
Respect. I love writers. I'm incredibly impressed by the risks you took towards publishing. Starting your book on CF? Cool. From one writer to another, never lose your honesty. That's what makes your text unique. I'm buying.
Good stuff. Could you give us a little insight on the steps you took to publishing your book? I'm more interested in how you got there, vs the actual book (sadly).
James Altucher in his recent book "Choose Yourself" talks about how self publishing is the way to go for new authors. He explains how to do it in his book or also in these two articles as well. http://www.jamesaltucher.com/2013/07/how-to-self-publish-a-bestseller-publishing-3-0/ http://www.jamesaltucher.com/2012/06/the-choose-yourself-era-how-to-sell-300000-books/ I strongly recommend reading his new book. He has lots of great ideas for business in this new economy. It's very inspirational.
