i dont blame him for the series, but this game, he had to be THAT GUY. its a CLOSEOUT game. those are different. do you realize the only team to beat these guys in the last few years is the cavs with LEBRON and KYRIE? did you see how they did it ? they had to go absolutely NUCLEAR to get it done. games 5 6 7 were CLOSEOUT games. game 5, lebron and kyrie BOTH drop 40+, game 6, bron 40 again, game 7 both with 25+ bron a triple double in a low scoring game.

sure others could have stepped up earlier, maybe it would have made a difference in games 1 or 2, but the fact is we 2-2 is where we sat. we should have won this series man. there is blame to go around, but stars have to bring it in the big moments. curry was a superstar in the 4th quarter, and james was not. he did not put pressure on that defense the way he should.

Man I get that, but at the same time the Warriors double him and we get nothing from it but bad shots.

If he shoots against the double and misses people will blame him for being selfish.

I blamed him for game 5 and not taking a shot but the Warriors at the end there decided they weren't going to let him do much. He did get some shots for guys and they all missed.

They’ll find out the hard way. Since he is so hated, let’s just trade him to NY or LA or wherever and get this rebuild underway. Hopefully we get back to being a playoff team in 5 or so years. Hopefully we get another player that comes close to the caliber of player that Harden is.

Is it me or do you see Harden play into doubles? A lot of times he calls for screens when he knows he's going to get trapped. He also sometimes waits for the defender.off the screen to trap instead of immediately attacking right after the screen is set.

He's too concentrated in getting a mismatch.

    But Harden had 35, Cp3 27...

The issue is that CP3 showed up too late this series. The bigger issue is that Clint didn't show up at all. The bigger issue is that Ego had his worst game this series.

Basically CP3 and Harden showed up this game, Tuck did what he did...and no one else showed up tonight. No one else.

Curry exploded in the 2nd half.

Rockets' offense is too predictable, they can get away in the regular season, but not in the playoff when competition heats up, especially in critical moment when other teams gear up to stop their 1st, and sometimes 2nd option.

He does that sometimes yeah, he just plays slow...which I don't think would be a problem if the Rockets had a methodical half court offense...but they don't...so yeah.

Yeah, Harden can’t this can’t that, that’s what a Tram leader does, that’s what Kobe does?

    Exactly Harden just can’t.

Yea it’s just really painful. We don’t have a steph curry that can drain big shots while getting doubled. Harden doesn’t seem to be that guy.

I’m not with these dudes that say we should trade Harden. We’re not going to get a guy as good as Harden so there’s no point in trading him. He’s a great player, it just sucks that he seems to lose “it” time and time again in crunch time.

Every other rocket though? They should be up for sale. We need a true #2 next to Harden. ****, we might need another #1 next to Harden to really move the dial. CP3 showed tonight but the rest of the series he was subpar. People are still out there looking for Capela, only place you can find him is on a milk carton. Gordon showed flashes but it’s just not enough. We need to make changes this offseason and everyone except Harden should be up for sale.

That said, Harden deserves any criticism coming his way. It’s his team and there is no good excuse as to why we lost games 5 and 6 (game 1 I think we have a good excuse but who even cares at this point).

Harden should just demand a trade to a place where he can play with an actual Big 3, because that’s what it takes to win a title in today’s NBA

a superstar and a bunch of role players isn’t getting it done

since y’all hate him so much, this shouldn’t be a problem if he does so

He didn’t do himself any favors walking the ball up the floor so many times. He makes the game harder on himself so many times.

Instead of pushing the ball off a defensive stop and getting a fastbreak bucket, he walks the ball up the court, and allows a good defense to get in its half court defense.

Sometimes the best offense is to catch a good defense out of position.

All my life I've been conditioned to believe that an offense has an inherit upper hand when the defense isn't set.

Harden every game tries to fight that sentiment.

There are great players....and then there are champions.

I think we know what category James Harden belongs in.

The second half is worth just as many points as the first half. If curry had been better in the first half we would have been losing the entire game. If Harden hadn’t been as good throughout the game we would have been losing the entire game. Harden did enough to win. Could’ve done more and sealed it, but it’s not his fault MDA does nothing to set us up for success on either end and we have critical incorrect calls that would never be called/noncalled on GS.

Harden’s stats were unquestionably superior to Curry’s throughout the entire series. He is much better than Curry.

If you think after the refs handed GS game 1 and allowed Green to get away with murder and even helped him along the way in this game, Curry making a couple shots at the end makes him superior, you are unbelievably naive. Iguodala made just as many big shots in this game, doesn’t make him anywhere near as good as Harden or Curry.

He's not winning a title here as the number 1 guy and CP3 the next best player. He is going to have to convince a KD type superstar to come here for less money to chase rings. Or he's going to have to go to another superstars team for less money to chase rings himself. If any players want to beat GS, they are going to have to team up and sacrifice money like the GS players have. If any owner wants to beat GS, they are going to have to pay dearly for it like GS has.

No players or owners are willing to do that so GS will just keep whipping everyones ass year after year after year after year after year.

KD got his rings. Boogie is about to get his. Harden, PG, and Westbrook should join GS too.

When they game was on the line curry hit big shots, and harden didn’t. Period.

Is it because he wants rest? Are there numbers behind the strategy that says it’s a good idea? Maybe we’re trying to limit GSW possessions or something?

Eye test tells me that it’s a bad strategy. We should be working before the defense is set. We should stop taking 20 seconds to set up a mismatch and we should just run an actual offense instead. James is a great iso player but when he gets shut down by doubles in clutch time what the hell do we do?
