If they come in and win game 5 where are we gonna be then? Jazz are no fluke of a team just remember there a playoff team, even the clips beat the warriors.

Morey gets us here. Without him, we may not even be complaining about The D House situation or enjoying Harden’s historical surge as a Rocket.

Judge him on how he reacts to circumstances out of his control and his own mistakes. He makes just as personalized efforts as other orgs to woo big time free agents, he’s not recruiting for a flashy city, he’s now managing with tighter purse strings, and this year he kept his eyes out and made up for poor free agency decisions. I’m personally unconvinced he had a poor off season. There may have been better options, but were those options even interested in playing here and what was the cost-benefit of bringing them in? Maybe MCW/Ennis/Melo were all really low cost gambles. Seems like Melo’s contract fit that profile but never payed off. Yea we had to get rid of a 2019 first round pick, but it probably was of low value anyways relative to the goal of jettisoning Chriss and Knight.

He does a good job here. Given what he can control, he’s been exemplary. IMO.
