Everyone has been saying there are like 1,000 of Bin Laden's buddies willing to commit suicide on planes or something.

Also, tomorrow is the one month anniversary of the attacks in NY.

Im going to Vegas (which was supposedly one of the targets)

    Im freaking out

    Don't.

Did you feel safe on flights before the terrorist attacks?

If so, all signs say that airline safety as its highest ever.

Try not to think about the attacks...That might help you overcome the fear.

Define freaky? You dont want to rush an old man who is getting up to stretch or something :D

That would be just too funny!

Man, I would feel safer in the air than anywhere. The terrorists have already done the airplane thing -- they won't do it again. Security is so freaking high, you'd have a difficult time coughing on a plane without being attacked.

    C'mon Drewdog!

My parents were at Newark airport when the planes hit the towers (they saw the towers burning), and they were stuck in NY for about 5 days, and they STILL flew to Vegas 2 weeks ago.

From what I understand, no one has said Vegas was a target, but it was a meeting point (1 ****head from each plane met there).

Go win some big $$$, see some shows and eat some good food!

BTW, where are ya'll staying? We stay at Bellagio (v. nice!), They have a pretty good buffet there. If you like Cirque de Soleil(sp?), don't miss Mystere or O.

Get this ****. I was looking for my ticket tonight, and it was in the damn trash for chrissake..... that I was about to go take to the dumpster..... talk about freaking out...

Feeling a bit better about flying though.

We are staying at the Venetian on Thursday night (its supposed to be pretty swank). On Friday and Saturday we are staying at the MGM Grand. Should be cool.

Saw Mystere last year, and it was nothing short of incredible. May see "O" or Blue Man Group this year, depends on how much I lose at the Blackjack table.

Im watching Swingers tonight to get me psyched to go.

    VEGAS BABY VEGAS!!

Venetian ROCKS....the only hotel with a mini bar in your room.

I used to stay at the MGM, and Ceasars, but only stay at the Venetian now.

    Belagio is way overated.

    DaDa,

No way! Bellagio is awesome, and the best restaurants in town!

We walked through Venetian this trip, and were unimpressed.

Bellagio is awesome, but still a little bit overrated. Venetian Rocks!
My personal favourite is Ceasers Palace. Also if you love steak go to Prime in Bellagios. The Filet Mignon is simply the best. Also Red Square in Mandalay Bay is probably one of the best restaurants and they also have really really good food.

The best part is that we only paid $99 for Thurs nite at Venetian..... cant wait!

Kinda going to be a low roller trip so I doubt we will hang out at Bellagio much, plus we want to hit on chicks so we may hit the Hard Rock....

    Agreed. Stop fretting.

The MGM buffet is awesome! We ate their two nights in a row. I can't wait to get back in the spring.

My wife is supposed to be flying to Birmingham, Alabama next month, and I'm none to happy about it.

It's for a conference for her new job, and I will not be going, because I'll be in school......

I don't care how tight security is, I am gonna feel sick to my stomach until she gets back.

Airline security is tighter than it has ever been. Of course, that one dude who flipped busted into the cockpit because apparently there was no air marshal on board, and the door hadn't been reinforced yet, and tomorrow is the 1-month anniversary, and Vegas was supposedly a target...

Just screwing with you. :D It really is safer than ever. Have fun.

Whatever happened to good ole Motel 8? They turn the lights off for you, for crying out loud!

Damn, you guys are wusses if you have to stay in the plush hotels.

Don't see the blue man group. OK show, but not up to O or Mystere standards.

I hear Danny Gans is pretty cool.

I went to Vegas on business last week. Except for an hour of hassles leaving Vegas everything was normal.

The buffet at Bellagio is incredible ($23). Didn't try it but the buffet at Rio is even better according to Lonely Planet's Las Vegas and local mags. Avoid the buffet at Paris. I liked the casino but buffet was almost as expensive as Bellagio and not even in the same league.
