    I enjoy Hightop as a poster. I just can't figure out the persona. He's got a hard on for Obama, who frankly about is as mainstream as any President, some of his anti-war and idealism stuff sounds like me in the late 60's, but he absolutely abhors anything that tends toward the socialism that usually goes along with that.

    I grew up with the mantra "question everything"; I still do but I don't have the passion to get worked up about it and I have come to understand how little things ever change. But, I'm not quite to the crotchety old man stage yet either. So I was wondering where he is in that progression.

    The thread is a throw-away, a joke arising from one of Topper's other crazy threads. I intended more bemused admiration than anything else.

    I'm going to bet he lives in Missouri City/Pearland/Sugarland and drives a dualie or some equally oversized pickup truck.

    When I'm down there I see pickups that look like this, or more extreme pretty regularly. I think I took this photo where the Fort Bend Parkway exits to Highway 6.
