Well its review time at the gig I've been at almost a year, and I'm trying to guage what the average % is for a raise. I know that 4% seems to be the norm (damn that seems weak), and with the crappy economy Im wondering if its going to suck more than that.
I had my review back in January - it turned out above average, so I was happy. I had my raise/annual bonus last week - it turned out not as above average (like 3%). I think it cancels out my increased gasoline bill, so I'm not complaining.
Im guessing mine will be about 4-5%, but it just seems so small unless you are making 100k a year or something..... Isnt there a minimum one for cost of living or inflation or something?
I received a 23% raise last year due to a promotion, but only a 3% raise this year, cost of living type raise. I work in the steel market and it's absolutely CRAZY right now. Our company is basically being forced to lay some people off, so I'm lucky I received what I did.
I got promoted in mid-September and got 13.5%. My review is coming up in the next couple of weeks and I'm guessing it will be prorated, so I'm hoping for 2%.
