Teams would sign him based on his potential which is the max, hell if the Rox had capspace I would also want him on this team at the max. But realistically he is not worth this price because he is too injury prone, his body can't handle the rigors of the NBA grind and I expect he will have a shorter career in his prime ala Rose than people expect.
It wouldn't be unprecedented for the Spurs to be really cautious with bringing back a star player from a serious injury. Remember that they sat Duncan in the playoffs in 2000, killing any chance of repeating as champs, because they didn't want to risk his long-term health.
They fixed whatever LaMarcus was upset about, I dont see KL being a bigger diva than him. Personality-wise, KL is a perfect fit for the Spurs, as was David Robinson and Tim Duncan.
Leonard is worth next to nothing in fantasy NBA and the same price he was last year in the real NBA. More than Chris Paul and less than Harden. That was a dig regarding how dumb fantasy players are if you're wondering.
Kawee is in it for the money, and not much else. He'll stay with Spurs provided they pay him. He just feels they are too conservative with injury precaution. That's it. Next story. SIL
A lot assuming he gets healthy. Based on his age, production and ability to defend and play a large or secondary role on offense... I think he is one of the 5-10 most valuable assets in the league.
Local news here is San Antonio hinting he wants out. https://www.ksat.com/sports/nba/spu...p-with-spurs-distant-disconnected-reports-say
seems to be lots of noise... he's more valuable this season than next season.... although his health being in question hurts the Spurs this year...
Not saying he wants out etc, but i remember a year ago when Jackie Mc said she heard about LMA being not happy in SA, asking to be traded etc...a lot of people said it was bullshit and basically "how can you believe there can be a player asking to be traded by the Spurs?" bla bla...now we know that was very real so, wouldn't be shocked if this is true too. The Duncan/Manu/Parker era is definitely gone.
