Keep the core group as is and try to improve. In the mean time, wait and watch for Warriors to regress. They shouldn't be able to keep their core 4 - Steph, Duran, Kyle, and Green, at the end of this year, right?

Honestly we need a larger wing that can defend hit threes and rebound. Eric gordon is good but he needs to come off the bench again. This is where I really miss Ariza....

If we lose again, all options outside of CP3 and Harden have to be on the table. That means Capela, Gordon, and Tucker on the trade block for the right piece (say, AD).

I said weeks ago that improving this offseason was going to be very difficult …. Morey just doesn't have much in the way of assets and we stand to lose 3 rotation pieces to free agency (Rivers , Faried & House).

Already being over the cap free agency isn't going to help this team , not when you are looking at having the taxpayer version of the MLE and that's it.

Trade chips ? Wont have a whole lot to work with there either as the only players who will be under contract are Harden , CP3 , Capela , Tucker , Clark , Hartenstein & Nene.

No draft pick this offseason ….

What are you going to get for the TMLE that puts this team over the top ?

I read somewhere or watched it on Youtube. Tucker, EG, Capela and 4 round picks for AD. I think this will happn if we lose this series or if Durant leaves. I think this will happen if they want to maximize the remaining years of CP3. All in move!

I don’t think there’s much we can do in the off-season. We’re going to have to hold out for more buyouts most likely.

Other option would be a trade involving guys like Capela/Gordon/etc.

We are 0-2, with an uphill battle. Can’t this thread wait until the series is over or atleast if it’s 0-3?! We protect our home and try to steal a game 5 or 7 on their turf. We played better in the 2nd half of Game 2 with our superstar not being able to see well. Game 3 now is the most important game of the series and a must win.

There is still a significant talent gap which is indisputable, which means our margin for error is just a lot slimmer. Is it possible to beat them? Sure but you need a lot to go your way AND they have to basically beat themselves with poor focus/effort. Game 1 we shot the ball terribly but our defense was excellent, holding the Warriors to 104 points. I wouldn't be surprised if that's their lowest point total all series.

Sometimes it does seem like the Warriors are vulnerable, but I feel like that's mostly wishful thinking on everyone else's part. They always seem to do just enough to get by. Last year's Rockets played a lot harder and smarter than them, plus CP3 was incredible, which allowed us to almost beat them.

If Durant is leaving, we bide our time. Harden is still in his prime. No need to tear the team down.

find a team that can win playing playoff rules and not regular season rules. It sucks rules change in the playoffs but that doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon.

    Agree with this.

Warriors will still have three legit all stars in their prime (assuming Klay is staying, which is not something i would bet on btw) while we have one since Chris is not going to get any better at this point.

But overall, we're an old team, and it's not just about the Warriors, cause other teams will probably improve to a point where they might have a roster as good as our current one, if not better. I'm thinking about the Clippers, Lakers, Celtics, Knicks...the Jazz, the Pacers, the Spurs have all the chance to do something in free agency too. Then there're other teams (Nuggets, Kings) that probably won't have a chance to add significant talent for one reason or another, but they might get better just because their roster is young and with room to improve.

To me, we really need that 2nd/3rd star more than ever.

What if Jimmy Buckets opts in, we build a package sending out Capela, we sign DeAndre Jordan for cheap, develop Hartenstein, and re-sign Gordon?

Not considering all the other tax hoops to make such a trade work,

    Paul/Rivers
    Harden/Gordon
    Butler/House
    Tucker
    Jordan/Hartenstein

    Would be nice.

Still need a piece bcuz DJ would not be able to play against their death lineup.

    Paul
    Harden
    ?
    Jimmy
    Tucker

And not Gordon at the 3 bcuz of reboonding issues. Gordon is not a good rebounder.

Though I don't have high hopes for it, this maybe the year we actually pull off a big trade since we have expiring contracts in Gordon, Nene etc.

If you add butler, I actually wouldn’t worry about EG at the 3. That would be a heck of a lineup.

That being said, I say get a 4.. what about Julius Randle? Tobias Harris

21 points, 9 boards for Randle? Seems like we could use 9 boards from someone these days
