How do you use the word "faded"?

Took me about 5 minutes to find this here video of Sinbad's special a while back on Comedy Central... he talks about the "fade" Dominique Wilkins does now:

Faded paint = my grandpa's car
Faded me = around 10 PM

 

In California it exclusively (when used as slang) means "high". I hate the term, though.

 

you know how in english class the teacher tells you to use a thesarus to avoid using the same words when writing anything.

faded for me is usually behind loaded, toasted, and leaning
