How do you feel about this sort of Texting ?

That sort of writing is only acceptable if you're telling someone about the latest Keanu Reeves movie you just watched.

I have to text with the number pad, so I occasionally abbreviate with words that are not going to be misunderstood. I prefer just to call people, but will respond to texts with texts, as that is obviously what that person was more comfortable with at the time.

I disagree. What if there are a lot of hot chicks at the party down the street.

 

I should have read your post before responding to the poll.

"I c wat u did dur" is not shorthand.

When texting, I use things like "w' for with or bc for because. I consider that shorthand. Changing there to dur is ridiculous and I would not warrant a response if it showed up on my phone.

Case in point:

If my wife sends me an abbreviated invitation via text to receive oral sex, I'm not going to critique said invitation.
