Running a tracert on the IP of the bbs tells me that it is hosted on a server in Dallas. But even if it was in Houston, any data center is going to have redundant back up power so the chances of it going down would have been slim.
Lets see, the bbs server is in Dallas... Mario Elie now coaches in Dallas. Clutch did have that April fools "joke" a few years back about the website changing over to the spurs because Mario signed with them. Maybe its not a joke and Clutch has been secretly following Mario Elie this whole time??
Well I think the same way that khou.com stayed online in the hurricane, and the were still broadcasting.
Well, I'm sure all the major news stations had generators. Not normal generators, but one of those that are wired through the building... That;s just my guess..
As you know out city Houston have faced fierce weather and we have faced power outages and floods. I am in a process of Developing a site Houston visitor and Visitor attractions for tourists to my city as site for my city Houston. I want Houston to be same once again after that IKE and people come back to their normal life and Tourism continue in the same manner as it user to be. Complete range of hotels will be given to the visitor of the site. Also all major attractions that we have in the city will be listed. For tourists all information all other information will be given such as restaurants for various communities, pubs , discos and Casinos
It's hosted in a datacenter elsewhere, I guess Dallas as someone mentioned, don't feel like looking it up. Anyways, these datacenters host tons of other web servers that have millions of dollars of information stored on them for companies. Naturally, they also have some of the best generators and power backup sources available so the servers can be up all the time without losing any information or access to them.
