How long are they expecting I-10 to be closed? I navigated up Washington, through downtown and onto I-10 east only to be stuck at 610. Should have watched the damn news this morning.
I bet the new dog park at Allen Parkway and Studemont is gonna be a special place this weekend. 15 feet under water.
Just got home from Toyota Center. Left the place around 12:30. Got stuck on 59 near the downtown exits for about an hour, then turned around went back downtown, decided to get on Alameda and that was slightly better and driveable for most of it(some stretches had some slightly high water). Thought I could get on Hwy 6 from Alameda so I could get to Sugarland but the entrance to hwy 6 from Alameda was flooded pretty badly and the rain picked up so had to pull into a gas station and slept in my car for a few hours there. Got up at 6am and somehow found a side road that took me to hwy 6 at Mo City and now, finally about to get some sleep.
Oh and also, people are circulating on social media, an old ads pic from 2001 claiming it to be today/last night.

Calm down Kam lol. I saw her and it was just ok. She had on a pencil skirt and that can def help the booty illusion. I think she's a former college athlete so no doubt her body is right. Now what she does have are some strong and sexy legs. The one female at the game that was special is the CSN Bay area reporter. If you were looking on the court before or after the game, she was the biracial chick in a purple dress.
Was surprised to see Conroe ISD in session this morning. No problems here in The Woodlands but I'd be concerned about people in the eastern Montgomery Cty portions, especially those close to the San Jacinto or Trinity. My back yard is under about 4" of water. It's been a month since I've been able to cut the grass back there. I know much of the state needed the rain but it can stop now.
That is INSANE. Glad you finally made it home. I missed the entire game last night as my DirecTV went out right after curry took his fall and never came back up. I work at Allen Parkway and Waugh and it looks like it's pretty much under water. So, I'm working from home. Officially, it's business as usual at my office.....but pretty much everyone is working from home. I keep getting emails from everyone checking in (from home). My wife's school district is pretty much the only district in the Houston area that was open like normal today.
I believe all of Conroe ISD schools are open today. Here in The Woodlands the HS was open and normal hours... and there wasn't much puddling near the schoolas I drve my youngest there. As its the second to last week it seems good to not have them shut down for inclement weather so close to Finals. My oldest daughter attends SHSU and works there over the summer... she drove up there this AM but I think Huntsville ISD was closed. I normally work at 290 and Tidwell but chose to work from home. Its clear and sunny right now.
No problems going to work today, took Yale up to 610E, then 45N. I-10 and 45 near N Main looked pretty bad. Hopefully I'll make it back ok.
There was also an asian journalist there in a red dress. She was also looking super beautiful last night at the game. I should have offered to keep her company during the flood .
Oof. Leroy and newroxfan mentioned Conroe and you mentioned Humble. I thought it was only Klein ISD that was open but that's 3 more than I expected. I believe Fort Bend ISD is closed over here where I am.
I'm in The Woodlands, too. No issues in Grogan's Mill (other than the cleanup from the tornado this weekend off of N. Millbend. My family has been here for 30 years and I never remember a tornado touching down in The Woodlands). As much as I hate the drainage ditch system in terms of landscaping, it certainly does serve a purpose.
