Yes, it is UNBELIEVABLY high right now. A lot of neighborhoods around there have levee systems and the river is not far from topping those levees. If we get significant rains this evening through tomorrow evening, it could very well be a very serious flooding event for a lot of areas around the Brazos River in Sugar Land, Richmond, Rosenberg and so on. BTW, those neighborhoods with levee systems have pumps that pump the water out over the levee, well if the River is right there, that water will just end up right back into the neighborhood.. Not a good sign for those people.
I don't know how credible these pictures are since I don't live around the area. But apparently this is Highway 6? <blockquote class="imgur-embed-pub" lang="en" data-id="a/5llpE"><a href="//imgur.com/a/5llpE">Highway 6</a></blockquote><script async src="//s.imgur.com/min/embed.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Is it headed for Katy? Will it be re-opened by the start of next week? Why are there so many people standing around but not doing anything to fix it?
Yeah! I saw it pop up in my news feed. Amazing power of moving water. I'm in awe how high the Brazos has crest in Fort Bend County.

Took Eldridge from Cypress down to 10 today, the long stretch after bear creek park had a lane on each side closed. Tried to go same route back about an hour ago, had Eldridge closed. According to my phone Hwy 6 is the same.
It's raining like a freaking monsoon, again. F this crap. If my house floods again I may lose my mind.
