Alright, well to me that would be a dealbreaker though given how bad this team is constructed I’d say f it and do it actually. If we suck and Butler causes issues, I don’t really mind. Maybe him and CP3 together can kick some ass with Tucker as their capo.

Let the Wolves lose Butler for nothing while forcing KAT to ask for a trade, if that's what they want...

 

I would hate to relegate our bench to leaning on Brandon Knight coming off yet another knee surgery to refill the production we'd lose off the bench from Eric Gordon.

I think 4 first rounders is already more than enough here... and I (for the life of me) still don't believe Morey would show such vulnerability when dealing with this type of "adversity" to begin the season.

That's just not his modus operandi.

Jimmy would be an upgrade over Gordon, so on paper this look like a no brainer for both teams. However, losing Gordon will deplete the "depth" we get from our second unit. If Melo worked out, that would be fine. But Melo is not looking very good out there, so if we have Jimmy, CP3, Harden, Tucker, and Capela running 1st and Melo and scrubs running second, that would give us a 5-6 man rotation in the playoffs. Any injuries or fatigue will come back to bite us in the playoffs. Not a good idea if we're trying to win a ring. If you need to construct a team to compete with the Warriors, you need to have depth AND talent.

 

Maybe:

four 1st rounders, Gordon, Knight, Chriss, Nene for Butler, Gibson, Jones

 

Four first rounders and Knight for Butler is fair. I still don't like that deal, but I get it.

If we add in Gordon, they better throw in KAT, too.

 

We need a defensive coordinator more than we need to sell the house for Butler......

He didn't say that was what the Wolves were demanding. He was speculating that Thibs would require Gordon to Be included in the trade.
