    I wonder what it is

House Intel Chairman announces ‘serious national security threat,’ sources say it is related to Russia
    https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/14/poli...n-serious-national-security-threat/index.html
    WashingtonCNN —
House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner has made information concerning a “serious national security threat” available to all members of Congress to review, the committee said on Wednesday.

While Turner and the White House remained vague on what the threat entailed, two sources and a US official tell CNN the threat is related to Russia. Multiple sources familiar with the intelligence characterized it as “very sensitive.”

One of the sources who has seen the intelligence confirmed that “it is, in fact, a highly concerning and destabilizing” Russian capability “that we were recently made aware of.”

Earlier Wednesday, Turner sent his Congressional colleagues a letter saying the urgent matter is “with regard to a destabilizing foreign military capability.”

Turner said in the letter to his congressional colleagues that the House Intelligence Committee voted on February 13 to make certain information available for lawmakers to review and says members have time to view this between Wednesday and Friday.

Turner is also calling on President Joe Biden to declassify “all information relating to this threat.”

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said he had personally reached out to set a meeting with top lawmakers on national security committees before Turner warned publicly of what he termed the “serious national security threat.”

Whatever it is, it will take about 14.76 seconds for one of the GOP Congresspeople to tell Russia what we know and how we know it.

Okay.... I am sure the Republicans and Democrats will find some way to not agree on this, regardless of what the actual threat.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) told reporters there is “no need for public alarm” about the threat, adding, “Steady hands are at the wheel, we're working on it.”

    We're ****ed...

Just lay the raw info on me so that I can coduct my own research.

This isn't the way to communicate a serious national security threat. (almost as if trying to be first)

No, all that takes is raising federal taxes from historically low levels and reforming entitlements. That is merely a political problem.

I’d be wary of declassifying that info considering the GOP’s “evolving views” on Russia and NATO.

Natasha Bertrand was one of the chief purveyors of the Russia collusion hoax in 2016. Now she's at it again in time for the 2024 election. She will print anything the Intel Community feeds her with zero skepticism.

That is about 500th on the list of concerns they have right now.

Half of Washington is now half full of dyed in the wool idiots that are extremists on the left and the right and the other half are smart but know that this is all just a big grift to get themselves over by pandering to the lowest denominator.... where they later that night can all get together and laugh at the dyed in the wool idiots that are stupid, they actually believe the BS put out to distract the American people away from issues that really matter like inflation, housing availability, how good and safe our food is, how clean our oceans are, if people are safe and can grow.

Rand Paul's of the world against the Mitch McConnell's of the world.

The Russians already know what it is - the GOP and Democratic Party are both figuring out how to blame the other one for whatever it is.

The Democrats and Republicans couldn't even agree when a bunch of idiots breeched the Capitol.

Sometimes the truth hurts. We keep lowering taxes and increasing spending so we need to raise taxes and decrease spending.

An aging population is increasingly taking up a chunk of the budget. All the GOP isolationist talk a big game about spending on foreign affairs but won’t touch the $800 billion military budget.

    It’s all political.
