I thought this will be likely defense for acquittal from the die hards and the fairness cupcakes.

The problem for me. Is that if this cycle continues, then we'll eventually have a sitting president openly working with a foreign actor to sway various elections (including his/her own) with the excuse being "but, Bill was able to put his d*ck into his executive assistant on taxpayers' dime and get away with it!"

Also, let's pardon Blagojevich - he deserves better per above logic - unlike Trump, he didn't even jeopardize national defense. Well, that depends on whether you believe Bolton (the way Trump's prev. chief of staff, John Kelly does)
