If it's a supplemental fuel, then you have the same problems as battery power i.e. few places to recharge/fuel in addition to the exorbitant costs of the new technology and materials.
You charge the hydrogen bottles at home....Honda is also planning on releasing a hydrogen home system powered by natural gas. Link to Honda home refueling station So if you use United Nuclear's conversion kit as long as you are in town the car runs on hydrogen, but can use gasoline as a backup for longer trips. DD
