    That question was to you and the original poster. Even though you gave it to a dealership I would still take them off, even if they didn't say anything but that's just me I guess.

    It makes sense now, after the fact. But especially since it was my first time ever selling a car and buying a new one through a dealership (or any entity for that matter), I just figured it was something they would do as part of their process of handling my car.

    The people at the dealership mentioned that they used to do it for their customers, but now they can't and they have to give it back to the owner.

    I wouldn't pay tolls as you should have a bill of sale, check or something proving a transfer of ownership...
