I was going to bring up palms the other day. Some of them are absolutely gorgeous, and there are several different kinds. If anything, I'd make a trip down I-45 to Houston Palm....it's right there near Baybrook Mall. They have some gorgeous palms there. In fact, they have LOTS of gorgeous plants there. I absolutely LOVE that place because the people there really enjoy gardening. It seems that they work there strictly because they love it, and the feeling really rubs off on you. I'd at least look at some palms...they're so cool to watch grow. If you get a Mexican fan palm (the cheapest), they grow like weeds....over a foot a year!
