Guys this is the ultimate sacrifice. After trash can Ariza went 0-11 in game 7, he gathered the rockets in the locker room, and with a tear in his eye he knew what he has to do. “I will go to golden state, and I will continue to shoot 0-11 in big games. You will all be champions next year”
Interesting take. I love Ariza, and this would be the ultimate sacrifce. Kill the warriors from the inside and give Houston the trip to the finals. As long as we still give him a ring, it's cool.
Ariza ain’t no Durant aka he no biatch. Plus he already has a ring. If anything he would stay for a discount if lebron is coming
This summed it up for me and without reading the rest of the thread I will add that Trevor needs to get his final contract this summer because he MUST retire a Rocket. He epitomizes everything we want in a Rocket. By the end he will have spent the most time with us and it is just the right thing. This is his home, he earned it.
People here are acting like he didn't gusrd durant, curry, thompson or anyone that got hot. The man spends the entire game chasing everyone on the court because he is our best defender. If he didn't have to play the entire game, every game of the season, he would have shot fine. Ariza belongs in a rocket uniform. He's the man that we are going to need to win it all if we get that chance. I'd keep him over Clint Capella anyday.
No freakin way this happens, especially with his friendship/allegiance to Paul and Harden. I'd see him going to any other team but not GSW. He has a ring already so there's absolutely no point to take a minimum contract with GSW to chase a ring. If anything, he wants to beat the Worriers.
Tax MLE (5.5M) assuming they will be in luxury territory after resigning Durant which is a given i guess.
'Been saying this. The Rockets played the best ball, during the winning streak, with Ariza out injured and Luc starting.
Luc without the separated shoulder is good. Luc after separating his shoulder twice in the same season....not so much. If it were on his non-shooting arm it'd be different but it happened on his right shoulder. That kind of injury throws everything off of your shooting.
Warriors can have their 26 ppg scorer go 3-16 from the field and still win, they aren't so depended on single role player.
