Have we upgraded defensively?

    in the interview today there was a bunch of talk about defensive transitions and how he's going to build on what they did last year.

    Landry's D looked fairly ordinary in SL.

    The best way for him to get on the court is to contribute on defense and rebounding.

    ok. There's been a flood of long threads the last two days (after barely any new threads last week)....haven't had a chance to read through all of them. but, I'm glad that they are looking to build on what they did last year....since a lot of people seem to think that the defense will slip somehow.

    Ok, finally got to hear what Adelman said today. He said he would like to build on what they did last year in defending, but did point out some different challenges. For instance, JVG had the guys camped out at the 3 point line so they could all run back in transition. But, in Adelman's offense, the players are usually not in the same spot, so they have to get the guys aware of what they collectively have to do on transition defense. He also intimidated that their offense can put the other team on their heels too....
    On a side note, the guys that stood out to him seemed to be Hayes and Scola....he was surprised at how well they passed and cut.....he also liked the way Head and James cut.
