Just because its a game of basketball doesnt mean the college and NBA are the same. Thabbet himself acknowledged the difference between College and NBA. He said in college he was asked to just stand under the rim and swat. Whereas in the NBA he has come in and out move around every 30 seconds.

The fact is he cant comprehend all the reactions/judegements that need to be made from the opponents movements in the NBA. He just cant react and make the right call on where to go and where to be. This fact could have been exposed if he played 5 on 5 in front of coaches with NBA plays. It doesnt have to be against their starters.

If he can dance, Carroll Dawson can teach him the footwork. He just has to find tha beat. From all accounts Hasheem is very bright, so I know he can count to three. That's all he has to as he hiphops in and out of the lane with his opponent. The rest is timing and unconscious anticipation -- attributes I hope he has and can develop.
