Hasheem already has a double double and three blocks. I know it is only the D Leauge but this is a positive sign. It looks like he is playing with some fire. http://futurecast.nba.com/nbadl/console.jsp
Thanks... with no Rockets game the last few days, this helps with those of us jonesing for Rockets ball. Just saw Thabeet got a couple rebounds, then passed out for an assist on a Jon Scheyer 3. Not bad, not bad at all.
Jon Scheyer's with the Vipers? I figured he'd be playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv by now. I always hated that guy.
Is the only way he can improve for next season's summer camp instead of sitting on the bench for the Rockets
Thanks, Spooner. I'm watching now. Hasheem looks pretty good on the pick and roll. RVG should make that their bread and butter.
Yeah, really good to see him bouncing back. Thats what its all about at d-league - learning the craft then displaying on the court, making mistakes and learning from them. He has one more game left after this one I think. Then back to CD.
I just noticed BJ Mullens has almsot dropped a 20 and 10 on him. If he got outplayed by BJ Mullens then Thabeet is not what I thought he was.
Why so? Because Thabeet was picked before him in the draft? Don't forget that Mullens was viewed by many as the potential #1 pick for 2009 before his freshman season at Ohio State. Like Thabeet, he was a "project pick" for OKC. He's got every bit as much potential as Thabeet. He may never amount to much, but the kid's definitely got talent.
Nice work by Thabeet. I am glad he is down here in the RGV working on his game. This will only help him in the long run and the Rockets can see what he can do if anything that will help the team in the future.
Watched some of the replay....he needs to work on his spacing and aggressiveness. He always seems out of position to me.
that's what the D-league is for. the RGVs run a very, if not completely similar motion offense as Rick does with the Rockets. that's how AB learned to be the quasi-floor general he once was. that's why PP looks less out of place now, then he did earlier in the season. though, the most important key to improving his game is FOOTWORK. CD just needs to pound footwork repetitions into his gigantic dome until it's second nature. he's got the tools. he's got the height. he's got a surprisingly (but inconsistent) soft touch. once his footwork/post game improve, that aggressiveness should rise w/ his confidence.
I'm kind of with you on this and don't know what the problem is-??? Maybe not 20/20, but still..... I'm not a scout, but I watched the dude at UCONN and he played well there (from what I remember). Whats the problem when it comes to Thabeet, NBA and productivity? He looks like he is in shape. I'm rooting for him! Nice game and I hope he continues to have great games and builds up his game and confidence BIG TIME.
Love it!Hasheem Tha'beat! Guy is down there to learn and that's exactly what his doing. He could share some minutes at the back C spot with J-Hill, when he comes back, if he continues with his improvement and show's more consistency down there.
