As awful as Nix has looked at times... he actually looks okay as an off-ball SG, but how many light-skin bowling balls can our overloaded wings hold? Nix is currently one of the very few players on our team with above-average efficiency, with a TS% at 59%, currently higher then EG's which is impressive for a 20 year old on such a dysfunctional team. What's going to happen to our rotation when Tate and Fernando are healthy, where will the space be for the rebounding/defensive duo of Garuba and Eason? Are the Rockets going to make any efforts to bring in a real PG? ....Do something Stone!
Nah Eric Gordon has actually been great this year for us despite his bad game tonight. Nix is trash every single night. I do think we should trade Eric Gordon because I'm sure he'd rather be somewhere else, but Nix isn't the answer. I'd rather play Tyty, he couldn't really be any worse.
Gordon made Gordon obsolete. He checked out the moment Morey left the Rockets. The Rockets stupidly keep holding onto him though, and he only gives effort now when he feels like it. Regardless of what Gordon does or doesn’t say publicly, privately he has told them extension or move him.
He is just 20, it feels like this fan base's patience for youth is inconsistent from player to player. I agree Nix has had many moments that are ... the opposites of flashes... he's given us many sh*t flashes, Josh Primo flashes. That being said, those have mostly been with him on the ball trying to operate as a PG, in the role of an off-ball SG, on the other hand, he's actually looked productive IMO.
Nix is still a fat scrub. He shouldn’t even be in the league EG should have been set free from this team a long time ago
It couldn’t be any more obvious, but an extension would be the dumbest thing imaginable. They need to get him out of here ASAP.
Gordon can shoot threes. Everything inside the 3 point line looks like crap. He doesn’t fit this team. Nix doesn’t either, but for entirely different reasons. Mostly because this isn’t a YMCA pickup game.
Neither should be on the team tbh…… but if I had to pick from the two I would keep nix because he fits our timeline and I am all about developing our youngsters. Rereading this sounds so bad tho
Nix is the best 3 point shooter on the team folks (after Garuba, who should never shoot one again to preserve his 2/3 average)
I don't know what light-skinned bowling balls means but it doesn't make you look good. Maybe explain a bit more?
Nix is one of the few players with a good TS% and his on/off is +9.3. Now, his 3-point percentage is unsustainably high at 47%, but at the same time his 2-point percentage of 33% will probably rise a good bit. He’s 20. How about we give him a chance?
Two good weeks, probably should sign him to a 4 year contract like Garrison Mathews. Then he can go back to being "1-for-6-Nix".
